Conference on Family Breakdown and Parental Responsibility

 

An international conference on Family Breakdown and Parental Responsibility will be held on 22 and 23 October in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Law at the University of Zaragoza.
The conference will analyse from a socio-juridical perspective and with a view to the rights in question the regulations and experiences in various countries with the aim of shedding light on decisions and on the praxis of parental responsibilities in cases of family breakdown.
The conference is held under the auspices of the Family Section of the Department of Social Services and the Family of the Government of Aragon and the Family, Policy and the Law working Group of the Research Committee on Sociology of Law (RCSL) of the ISA. It is organised by the Laboratory of Juridical Sociology of the University of Zaragoza within the framework of the project consolider-ingenio 2010 "The time of rights"

COMMUNICATIONS
Communications of between 15 and 25 pages may be presented and should be sent in electronic format by 2 October to the Conference Secretary (E-mail: sociojur@unizar.es).
The conference committee will assess applications on 15 October. Once accepted, communications will be published in the definitive conference programme.


LANGUAGE
Presentations will be given in English or Spanish. Simultaneous translation will be provided for presentations, round tables and discussions. Communications may also be presented in English or Spanish.

Aula Magna in the Faculty of Law, University of Zaragoza..


REGISTRATION
Registration should be done on-line completing the  registration form
Fees:
Until 5 October
Students and unemployed 20 euros.
Professionals 40 euros
Until 20 October
Students and unemployed 30 euros.
Professionals 60 euros
The number of participants is limited by the conference hall capacity to a maximum of 230. Applications for registration will be accepted in strict order of receipt.


DIPLOMA
Attendance at the conference is equivalent to one and a half credits. A Certificate of Attendance will be available to those registering before 20 October. Those who apply and hand in the corresponding work will receive their   credit recognition (1.5 free elective).
