GUIDELINES FOR THE AUTHORS

The Jounal of Sociocybernetics (ISSN 1607-86667) is a peer reviewed, electroniocal journal published biannually - Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter - by the Research Committee on Sociocybernetics (RC 51) of the International Sociological Association (ISA). Manuscript submissions should be sent electronically to the editor: Michael Paetau (michael.paetau@sociocybernetics.eu). The submission has not been previously published. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. In general, please follow the Chicago Manuel of Style; citations and bibliography should follow the current journal sytle (APA). Normally, articles should be of no more than 6000 words, although longer articles will be considered in exceptional circumstances. The Journal looks for submissions that are innovative and apply principles of General Systems Theory and Cybernetics to the social sciences, broadly conceived.
