Module 6. - Nanodevice Fabrication and Applications (8 ECTS credits)

Representative examples of nanotechnology applications will be described in great detail and the students will have the chance of fabricating their own nanodevices in the lab. The following applications will be analyzed in the 2008-09 academic year: Biosensors. Molecular sieving using nanoporous membranes. Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs). Nanomagnetic devices. Fabrication of electronic devices by means of nanolithography. Nanocomposites containing carbon nanotubes. Surface coatings by self-assembly methods.
