• If you travel by car from your country you will be able to take full advantage of your stay in Jaca, with the opportunity of visiting lovely, quaint villages, impressive monuments and breathtaking landscapes very near the city.

• If you would rather use public transportation, you can fly to Madrid and, from there, the most convenient way to get to Jaca is:

1. Take a taxicab or the subway from Madrid-Barajas airport to the Madrid-Atocha railway station (15 kilometres). If you use the metro (subway) take Line 8 at the airport and get off at “Nuevos Ministerios”. There, you can take Line 10 to “Tribunal” and then Line 1 to “Atocha-Renfe”. You can consult the Madrid metro system in this website:

2. There are numerous trains throughout the day between Madrid-Atocha and Zaragoza railway stations. The trip is less than two hours. You can consult timetables at the Renfe (Spanish Railways) website:

3. To go from Zaragoza to Jaca, you can take a coach. In Zaragoza, the bus company doing this route is “Ágreda Automóvil” and it is located at Paseo de María Agustín, 7 (phone 976 22 93 43). The most comfortable way of getting there is taking a taxi from Zaragoza-Delicias railway station to the bus station. The trip from Zaragoza to Jaca takes approximately two hours. You can consult timetables at (in the section “Horarios y precios”, indicating the route “Zaragoza – Jaca”).

4. If you arrive in Jaca by coach, the station is in the city centre, a ten-minute walk from the University Hall of Residence (Calle Universidad, 3). The Residence telephone number is 974 36 01 96, where they can help you with any problem you may have when you arrive.

NOTE. From 2004 there are flights between Zaragoza airport and some European cities operated by Ryanair. You can consult flights and prices in their website:
