The Team has assembled a portfolio of patents for the development of magnetic nanoparticles and its coating in a multifunctional way. Such Multifunctionality includes magnetic response, fluorescence, temperature determination and the grafting of elements for the anchoring of antibodies, proteids, drugs and chemicals in a single object of nanometric size. A major research effort is currently being oriented towards the biomedical uses of these products; however, applications in other areas are also be envisaged.
