Eighth Erwin Felix Lewy Bertaut Prize to Linda Reinhard
The Eighth Erwin Felix Lewy Bertaut Prize of the European Crystallographic Association (ECA) and the European Neutron Scattering Association (ENSA) is awarded to Dr Linda Reinhard from the Karolinska Institutet @ DESY, Hamburg, Germany.
2015 Walter Hälg Prize
It is a great pleasure to announce that the 2015 Walter Hälg Prize has been awarded to Prof Dr Helmut Rauch for his outstanding and seminal contributions to the fundamental aspects of neutron physics and optics and many related aspects of quantum physics.
ENSA 20th Anniversary
In the year 2014 ENSA celebrated its 20th anniversary. The idea of creating ENSA was first discussed at a meeting in May 1994 at PSI Villigen. Then there was the first official ENSA Committee meeting in September 1994 at the ILL (election of the ENSA executive board with Dieter Richter as chairman, myself as vice-chairman and Bob Cywinski as secretary).
France Commits to ESS
French officials say they are prepared to sign a Letter of Intent committing to the construction of the European Spallation Source. France joins the host nations, Sweden and Denmark, by solidifying its contributions to the project.
ESS Science Symposia
The third ENSA-NSSA-AONSA Presidents Meeting was held during the International Conference on Neutron Scattering (ICNS2013) held in Edinburgh, Scotland on the 11th of July 2013.
