Workshop First Announcement

Berlin, April 17.-18. 2012

We like to announce an international workshop devoted TO new and upcoming opportunities for investigating nanostructured systems and materials in hard matter, magnetism, information technology, soft matter, liquid interfaces and biology.

The workshop will discuss current requirements and developments in probing surfaces and interfaces using neutron reflectometry and grazing incidence neutron scattering in current fields of scientific interest particularly. The workshop is in particular devoted to novel and upcoming experimental opportunities with future instruments at ESS.

The workshop is organized jointly by the Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS), the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht (HZG) and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB).

More detailed information will be available soon at the workshop webpage at

http://www.helmholtz-berlin.de/aktuell/events/index_en.html

Registration to participate will be open on March 10 2012.

On further information please contact the workshop organizers Alexander Ioffe (JCNS), Dieter Lott (HZG), Roland Steitz (HZB) and Thomas Gutberlet (HZB).
